Organochlorine respiring bacteria delivered to Tasmania

Novorem recently delivered the first batch of organochlorine respiring bacteria to be deployed in Tasmania. Biosecurity Tasmania approved the importation and Tasmanian EPA approvals were granted to the client to inject the culture (AusPCE for reduction of chlorinated compounds) into a contaminated aquifer. This represents the third state (after Victoria and NSW) where permissions have been granted to bioaugment contaminated sites with Novorem’s cultures derived from the Botany Industrial Park, Sydney, NSW.
